Music for Everyone

What is Music for Everyone?

Music for Everyone (MfE) is a registered charity founded in 1983 by our MD Angela Kay, MBE. It is committed to making a difference to people’s lives through the creativity and enjoyment of music.

MfE supports people to discover and develop their musical interest, abilities and aspirations at all levels, it’s an open, welcoming and collaborative organisation that builds a sense of community and belonging through the high quality musical experiences provided for participants, audiences and staff.

There are many choirs and singing opportunities within the MFE family: Nottingham Chamber Singers (low key audition), Daytime and Lunchtime Voices (open to all), Open Voices (great for people with learning disabilities), Nottingham Festival Chorus – an occasional choir singing some of the bigger choral works, and then there other singing workshops and courses along with a highly regarded August Summer School. For young people and adults there are also bands, a flute choir, orchestras, and occasional recorder days. Not forgetting the two ‘Blow the Dust off Your Instrument’ days per year and the Summer School. Click here for details of these groups and events.
